What is MOPS?

MOPS groups are communities that strive to meet the needs of every mom with children from birth through kindergarten. MOPS recognizes that urban, suburban, and rural moms, stay-at-home and working moms, teen, single, and married moms all share a similar desire to be the very best moms they can be. MOPS groups can help!

What is Moppets?

MOPPETS is the children's program which is attached to our MOPS group. The children do crafts, play, have snacks and stories, and are looked after by experienced volunteers.

What happens at a MOPS meeting?

We meet the first and third Thursdays of each month during the school year from 9:00 -11:20 a.m.

At each meeting, we have breakfast and socialize. We all meet together for a devotion. We have time for crafts and speakers, and we break into smaller discussion groups. Each discussion group alternates bringing the breakfast foods.

Your Discussion Group Leader is available to answer any questions you may have regarding policies, membership, or activities within the group at any time throughout the year. Or just ask a mom who knows the ropes at a meeting. Don't be afraid to ask!

Each mom will be assigned to a committee - craft, hospitality, or MOPPETS. We all take turns with setup and cleanup in these areas. It's a great help when everyone does her part.

How much does MOPS cost?

MOPS International requires that each member of every MOPS group pay a $20 one-time fee per year. Our group will cover $5 of that fee for each member. We ask that you pay the additional $15 at our first meeting.

In addition, we have a $4 per meeting fee which goes toward our group's operating expenses.

The total due for the year is $79. This includes the MOPS International fee of $15, plus 16 meeting fees at $4 each.

You may pay the entire $79 yearly amount at the first meeting, or you can choose to divide the payments into semesters, with the first payment of $47 due at the first meeting and the second payment of $32 due at the first meeting in January.

A registration table is set up at the entrance to our meeting room. Check in there for information at each meeting.
